Today 97% of the San Ramon Valley is unchurched.
We believe CPC plays a pivotal role in reaching our valley for Christ.
Legacy is a campaign to accelerate our mission: REACHING PEOPLE AND FOLLOWING JESUS.

LEGACY Update January 2025
Happy New Year to all! Here’s an update on where we stand at the moment. Praise God as He continues to bless our efforts and show His favor on this project!
Programming, Design Work, and Refined Cost Estimates
The site design work is coming along well with our architect (Dahlin Group). We’ve finalized much of the programming work and are now homing in on some details as we prepare the documents needed to submit our entitlements package in the next few months. We now have our civil engineer (CBG) and our general contractor (Cahill Contractors) on board to assist with this effort. We’ve also initiated conversations with PG&E as we know that will be a long-lead item for us.
Finance
To date, we have collected more than $9.8M of the $28M+ total pledged to Legacy. We are also exploring financing options for other aspects of this effort. This includes a recent meeting with Heritage Bank to discuss the prospect of shifting the debt on the residential parcels over to the main CPC campus. This step will be necessary to finalize a sale of the residential properties for the townhomes, which would need to happen by the end of a 12-18 month due diligence period. The meeting went well and we are awaiting a response from Heritage about some options on how that could work.
How You Can Help
Please continue to pray for including (but not limited to) God’s wisdom, clarity and favor with:
our team preparing the entitlements documents,
our coordination with PG&E and other third parties necessary for this effort,
our selection process for the right townhome development partner,
our financing plans, and
abundance in our fundraising efforts.
Blessings,
Matt Henry

Greetings to all! We have had great progress on the Legacy project in the last several weeks. Praise God as He continues to bless our efforts and show His favor on this project!
Programming, Design Work, and Refined Cost Estimates
The site design work is 95%+ complete, and we’re on track to make our initial submittal to the Town of Danville in late March. We have met with the Town of Danville staff for initial feedback on our draft site plan. We’ve retained consultants to begin work on the information we will need to start our application process with PG&E. Our general contractor (Cahill) has begun preparing an updated cost estimate based on the current design.
Finance
To date, we have collected more than $10M of the $28+M total pledged for Legacy. THANK YOU! We also continue to explore financing options via Heritage Bank and other potential resources.
How You Can Help
Please continue to pray for God’s wisdom, clarity, and favor with:
Our team preparing the entitlements documents and cost estimates
The Town of Danville staff and elected officials, as well as our neighbors
Our coordination efforts with PG&E and other third parties necessary for this project
Our process for selecting the right townhome development partner
Our financing plans
Abundance in our fundraising efforts
Also, please plan to attend Sunday Services on April 27. Our church will receive an exciting update on Legacy as part of both Sunday services on that morning. Of course, if you’re unable to attend, please join on-line or check out the recorded version on our website or social channels.
Blessings,

The Vision
Our REACH vision is to Renew a gospel movement, Engage all generations, Attract the next generation, Care for hurting people, and Help people leverage their time, talent and treasure. To expand our REACH, we must expand our facilities–especially for children and students—and increase our ability to serve our congregation, neighbors, and community for years to come.
We have exciting plans to further our mission of Reaching People and
Following Jesus by expanding church facilities.
The Opportunity
Over the last two years our church saw 43% growth in attendance, post pandemic. We had 317 people indicate decisions for Christ by taking YES packets, and over 100 people were baptized. In our Kids and Student ministries we have seen incredible growth, with over 500+ plugged in to those programs. Our Women’s ministry has 500+ meeting weekly. In our Men’s Ministry we have 300+ meeting weekly.
Praise God for his growth and favor! We are bursting at the seams. We have the opportunity to grow these ministries, serve our congregation and reach more of our community.
The Urgency
The life-cycle of a church consists of 5 major movements: Birth, Incline, Recline, Decline, and Death. Oftentimes, when churches are filled with momentum, life, and growth, they begin to relax and “recline” -- which leads to declining attendance and can even lead to death. We want to be different. Instead of reclining, we want to reinvest. Our Mission & Vision are BIG...yet our physical structures are quite limited. We believe God is calling us go higher and REACH wider than ever before.
New Youth Center
We are FOR kids and students in our church and community. Environments matter. We want the students of our Valley here! A place for students to gather in a space that is relevant and theirs. We believe Jesus is the ultimate answer for our culture’s mental health crisis.
New Sports Field
This field will serve hundreds of kids in our school and church... and thousands of families in our Valley and beyond. We want kids and families here, and this sports field will be filled with kids, energy, and joy for decades to come.
New Entrance for Sanctuary
We want it to be obvious for a guest to know where to go when they come to our church. This space will attract people to our church, welcome them into our worship space, and provide a warm place for people to greet, gather and connect.
New Meeting Spaces
With over 1,000 people gathering in groups on campus every week, our growing ministries need meeting space! This building will provide much-needed offices and meeting places for ministries, staff and volunteers.
New Outdoor Pavilion
Beautiful, covered, open-air space for people, families and groups to gather and connect. This will likely be the most popular place for coffee dates, after church gatherings, small groups, and parent connections before the kids get picked up from school.
New for Center
This will be the “Volunteer Hub” for meeting the needs of our community and congregation. Picture everything from recovery meetings, to a food pantry partnering with local markets, to large groups packing food for Kids Against Hunger. This is the faith-filled next step in our FOR the Valley movement.
