Wildside

5th-8th Grade Students

Merry Christmas Friends!

We will miss you all for the next couple weeks as we wont’ be running our programs during the school break.

We’ll see your kids back on Wednesday January 8th!

Fun, Friends, and Faith

Our Student Ministries team is all about connecting with the 5th-8th graders of our valley and helping them find a place of belonging. We believe middle school is the perfect time for students to learn about the love of Jesus and then beginning to experience a deeper, more intentional relationship with Him.

Wildside encourages your students through weekly gatherings as well as through several exciting annual trips. We are glad to welcome students from any background, even if they’ve never been to a church before, and we hope our students will invite friends to join them. There is no need to register in advance. Just come when you can, and our leaders will help your student feel welcomed and included.

Weekly Programs

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

7-8:30 PM

Each Wednesday night our middle school students gather at CPC with our team of leaders to experience a night of fun, friends, and faith.

Students sign in on our front patio and then gather in our gym for free recreation and time to connect. We then usually have a large group game before moving into the sanctuary for more fun, a time of worship, and a message from the bible shared by one of our leaders. We strive to make our teaching spiritually significant but also approachable for those who are new to faith. From there we divide into smaller gathering of students of the same grade and gender to discuss the teaching and ask their own questions. Students get picked up on the front patio at 8:30 PM.

SUNDAY MORNINGS*

9-10 AM

On Sunday mornings (except for the first Sunday of the month) we gather with our middle school students during our 9:00 worship service to connect, have fun, and open the bible together. These bible study times involve a lot of student participation and discussion. We usually have good breakfast snack for students too.

*(The exception is on the first weekend of the month: Instead of our normal program on the first Sunday of the month we invite students to join their families in our worship service so that they can participate in communion with our church community.)

Upcoming Events

All incoming 5th and 6th grade students (current 4th and 5th graders) are invited to join us June 16-20, 2025 to kick off their summer with five days of fun adventures. This week-long day camp is packed with outings to fun local recreational spots that kids love. We’ll start each day together at CPC with worship, a bible lesson and small groups. From there we will head out to fun destinations like taking over an entire bowling alley, Boomers Family Fun Center, reserving a movie theater just for us, Lost World indoor playpark, and Hurricane Harbor water park.

Registration Opens: February 4th, 2025

Cost: TBD

8th-12th Grade Students

April 5-11, 2025, we are inviting students in 8th to 12th grade to spend their spring break with us traveling down to Northern Mexico to build homes for families living in extreme poverty. This mission trip is one of the most impactful and transformative experiences we offer our students. They come back from this experience with a new appreciation for the blessing they have at home, a new sense of their own ability to change someone else’s life, new bonds with other students they may never have talked to before, and a new understanding of the work of Jesus in our lives. This is truly an experience you don’t want your student to miss. Students do not need to have any prior connection to CPC or any faith background.
