He Restoreth

He Restores My Soul

He Restores My Soul
A 12-Step Journey Through Psalm 23
Monday Evenings
All are invited!

He Restores My Soul is a new 12-step support group series which helps us to look to God, our Shepherd, and to get away from the faces of idols that are binding our thinking. Co-dependency, people-pleasing, perfectionism, substance abuse, workaholism, unhealthy attachments, grief, anger, anxiety, depression, and loss are issues that can be helped by the recovery process outlined and discussed during these sessions.

The real test of spiritual focus is the ability to bring our thoughts and unhealthy behaviors under control. The questions addressed in this series will help us identify, change, and practice new ways of thinking and behaving while always seeking God’s strength for the psychological, emotional, relational, and spiritual aspects of our recovery.

Monday night meetings will include a time of worship and study, led by Marcy Hawkins, Author and Addiction Counselor, and Jodi Aldredge, Minister of Worship. Cost is $15 per book with a suggested $10 donation per session. For more information, contact Jodi Aldredge at jodi_aldredge@yahoo.com.

Every Woman's Desire
This is a female-facilitated "confidential" support group for women who have discovered that their partner is betraying them sexually, whether that be lusting, pornography and/or adultery.  There are three sessions per year and each session runs for 13-weeks and ends April 13.  It meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at CPC in room 223.  The purpose of this group is to give hope, healing and restoration.

Some of the issues we will address are:

  • Co-dependent behavior and how to set healthy boundaries
  • Learn what “Intimacy” looks like through God’s eyes
  • Establish a “Personal Restoration Plan"
  • How can I trust him again?
