New Small Groups are Forming!

This is a great chance to meet others interested in forming a small group, select a group meeting time and learn how to get started. Your commitment is for a five week study on the sermon series “The Week That Changed the World” – the last week of Jesus’ life. Understand what happened, what it meant and the impact it has for our lives and the world.

What is the Luke Small Group Study?

One of the best ways to grow is to study God's Word with other people. We get a little taste of what that's like each weekend at the worship services.

But this winter, we're inviting you to experience accelerated growth by joining a five-week small group adventure. Your small group will take a closer look at the weekend sermon and Scripture. You'll learn from each other and best of all, apply what you are learning with the encouragement and support of others.

Joining a Small Group between the Services

  • Stop by the Tables in the Courtyard between Services on the weekend beginning January 16.
  • Contact Terry Campbell and let him know you are interested in joining a group either for the 5-week study session at terry@cpcdanville.org, or 837-5525 x319.

Sept. 2009-April 2010

The Luke Study begins in September 2009 and continues through April 2010.

There is one resource book for the whole series, "Luke for Everyone" by N. T. Wright. It is a commentary that also includes scripture and a glossary.

The book is at the Book Shoppe. On the weekdays purchase one at the Ministry Center.

There are three core application questions to the Luke study:

  • How is God working in your life?
  • What is your next step in following Jesus?
  • Who can you help in taking the next step in following Jesus?

Our next All-Church study, The Week That Changed the World begins February 22. During this study, the pastors, for each sermon, will provide questions which will be the focus of your small group or individual study.
